MALAIKA

The Malaika Marrakech Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children with Down syndrome.
It offers educational, therapeutic, and social follow-up aimed at developing their skills, confidence, and autonomy.
The center welcomes more than 137 children, aged from 6 months to 23 years, who receive support adapted to their needs and learning pace.

Our association is committed to supporting each child with trisomy 21 in their overall development, through concrete actions that promote their flourishing, integration, and autonomy.

Our Projects

Individual Support Project

Based on three dimensions:

  • Pedagogical: learning, concentration, reading, writing, mathematics.
  • Educational: development of autonomy, socialization and respect for rules of life.
  • Therapeutic: speech therapy follow-up, psychomotor support and psychological counseling.

School Inclusion Project

The association promotes the integration of children into public school thanks to programs adapted to their abilities and regular monitoring in collaboration with teachers and families.

Vocational Training Project

Establishment of partnerships with specialized centers such as the Handicraft Training Center and the Al Mansour Ezzahabi Center, to introduce young people to different trades:

  • Passementerie (Qaïtan) Workshop
  • Handicraft and Sewing Workshop

Activities and programs

Throughout the year, the association offers educational, artistic and sports activities aimed at strengthening the autonomy, creativity and inclusion of children with trisomy 21.
